Tampa - Grass Root Organic Restaurant
813-221-ROOT | Added: May 09, 2006 | Total Clicks: 515 | Rating: 7 out of 10 (1 Ratings) | Notify of Dead Link | Finally Tampa has an all-veg restaurant! The imaginative menu emphasizes raw foods. My friend's tasty burger was obviously made on the premises, not just a Gardenburger slapped on a bun. On the server's recommendation, I ordered a vegan "parmesan" that was covered in a chunky tomato-vegetable sauce that radiated freshness, natural sweetness, and flavor. Wonderful -- let's hope it succeeds! 2702 N. Florida Ave.; closed Sundays and Mondays.

Tampa - Trang Viet Cuisine

At his restaurant, the food is delicious, prices are moderate, and the veg*n section of the menu is large, with an emphasis on meat analogues. A nice mix of customers -- students, faculty, singles, couples -- dine in a casual, unfussy atmosphere. This is one of my favorite Tampa restaurants. 1524 E. Fowler Ave.; closed Sundays.
